We stayed on the 14th floor of the pyramid. The room was a little tired around the edges but it was clean and comfortable. with a large shower in the bathroom. Fortunately we had a good view outside as I have never been in such a dark and dismal hotel! They were doing building work inside the main part of... more

In a word - this hotel is shabby! The service was friendly enough, but anything related to mechanical details or appearance was sub-par, at best. Our A/C didn't work (in AUGUST!), nor did our attempts to set up (paid) wireless internet. There was garbage outside our room for the entire time we were there (the same garbage; it never got... more

When we checked in there was black mold and loose tiles in the shower. We went to the desk and complained. We were sent to another room. The AC did not work in that one. The third rom was no better. Finally after several hours of dragging our luggage around the hotel and waiting in the check in line to... more

In Vegas 2 nights for a wedding. Overall pleased with Luxor, what I expected. I have been to Vegas many times and try to stay at a different place each visit. I was not expecting Ceasars or Paris. Check in was VERY quick and friendly. I was given an upgrade to the west tower, closest to the pools and spa.... more

On arrival it is a bit like being on a conveyor belt - we had heard that the hotels were massive in Vegas but the Luxor seems to be one of the busiest. Not necessarily a problem although when you go into the next door neighbour Mandalay Bay it does feel very different. Because of the heat outside (early Aug)... more

stayed at the Luxor from 4th-11th August. Last visited Vegas 18yrs ago so expected some changes but very disappointed at how downmarket some places have become. The Luxor itself is in the middle of building works - very noisy drills prevented conversation at times - and the bedrooms are extremely gloomy and badly lit. Large rooms and very clean but... more

There seems to be a theme running through all the reviews here and I have to concur. This is a well located, fairly typical Vegas strip hotel. It is clear that it is 15 years old but regardless it is spotless and the service is as good as anywhere on the strip. There are few places on this earth that... more

This was our first time in Vegas so we can't compare the Luxor to any other hotel. We had a great time. We waited in line to check in for about 5 minutes. When we told the lady checking us in that we preferred a room that was quiet she put us in a tower room. I will admit that... more

I was on the $59 per night special rate, so this was a good value for a property located on the Strip. The negatives were that the room air conditioning didn't work very well and the decor of the hotel is quite dated (i.e. late 1980s). Be aware that the hotel is under remodel near the "towers" and the lobby,... more

We stayed here for 3 nights in early August. Whilst the room (Pyramid) was okay, the building site outside was not helpful. It was noisy, smelly and dusty and we were on the 15th floor. I apreciate that changes and updates need to be made, but it would have been nice had we been informed beforehand. The check in queue... more
