Yes the price is reasonable. The remodelling is OK. However if you are unlucky and the front desk staff put you in a room with mechanical problems, it can be very unnerving not to mention spooky, wierd or disgusting. This a very, very old building. Obvious and unseen maintenance concerns are ignored. If you like to gamble on your hotel... more

Just returned from a two night stay at the El Cortez on a comp I received in the mail. We had a Queen Double in the Tower - Room 614 at the end of a hall. The room was huge! It was nicely appointed and very clean. The bathroom is very small, so if you need a big bathroom, don't... more

My husband and I stayed at the El Cortez in the Cabana Suites. The Cabana Suites are actually across the street from the casino but it's literally 40 steps to get from one to the other. Both have security posted outside at all times so I always felt safe even if I was coming or going without my hubby with... more

Made the decision to stay here based on user pics and reviews from Trip Advisor, and we were happy we went. So, yeah... it's not the Palms, but we felt very welcomed by the staff, and you gotta stay 'classic Vegas' at least once in your life. Very friendly security staff, front desk, you name it. Also, we had a... more

We received an automatic upgrade to a nicer room upon our arrival at the hotel. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The staff were excellent and treated us as old friends. The Cafe has excellent food at a bargain price and the service was very good. We will definitely stay there again. (we go to Vegas 2-3 times a... more

Beside the location (far from the strips) and service (waited 3 hours for my room), everything is good. The room is huge and clean. Parking is free. Their casino is kind of crappy but i am not gambling anyway. For $10 dollar a night, it worth everything penny. more

My wife and I have stayed at the El Cortez many times over the last few years. This was our 3rd trip there this year. We had a tower room. Rooms are large, King bed. Standard TV, Desk 2 chairs and a love seat. Rooms are clean and housekeeping does a good job. We did not eat at Flame this... more

This 'boutique' hotel is run by security guards...this was the most horrific hotel stay in my hundreds and hundreds of stays (obviously elsewhere). The hotel is run by security guards who will NOT let you in at 3 in the morning into the lobby mind you - when your key doesn't work for front door. If there is anything you... more
