We had stayed downtown before but this was the first time at El Cortez. We thought the room was very nice, beautifully furnished and clean and the bed was comfortable. The El Cortez is the best value play downtown. Just close enough to Fremont St. to be accessible; just far enough away for some peace. Rooms are large, clean though a bit dated.
