It was a good experience. Maxima Zarya Hotel is a nice place to stay in Moscow with acceptable price. The hotel staff was very helpfull. Breakfast was very multifarious. more
Overall this hotel was not all bad. I shared a twin room, and the room was a decent size, with a decent shower and toilet. TV only had 3 english channels, but that was not to worry, as I wasn't there for the TV. Travelling to the city centre included a 8 minute walk to the metro station passing a... more
Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and was quite satisfied. The hotel sits in a residential neighbourhood north of the city centre. A metro ride of about 15 minutes. The name of the station is "Vladykino", which is about a 7 minute-walk away from the hotel. You have to walk through a shady backyard of some old residential blocks.... more
I made the reservation on Maxima’s website. The price quoted was same as Orbitz, however an additional 15% discount was available for users of AmEx. Upon making the reservation, I received an automated message acknowledging the reservation request and stating that the reservation was being processed and I would receive confirmation shortly. The confirmation never arrived, even after I sent... more
Good value for Moscow, clean, air conditioned room , comfortable beds , ensuite OK ,staff were helpfull , breafast reasonable , as regards arriving on the Metro there are TWO exits from the station ( with a main railway line in between , and the one NOT to take brings you out a long way from the hotel and hotel... more
A good value (by Moscow standards!) mid-range hotel. The hotel was clean and comfortable with a modern en-suite and well stocked mini-bar. The TV had some English-speaking channels and there were free copies of the Moscow Times (in English) in reception. Staff were friendly and helpful and registered our visas for no extra charge. Breakfast catered for various tastes, from... more
It has been sometime since we stayed in Moscow and our choice to stay at Zarya was the right choice. If you are planning a trip to Moscow I would suggest staying at any of the Maxima Hotels. First of all the staff was more than friendly, they spoke english, treated us like we were at home, took care of... more
Firstly if you plan to make your own way to this hotel, DON'T rely on the directions or the map on their website. They are terrible. Make sure you get a cyrillic translation of the hotel name and address as no one in the vicinity of the metro station speaks English or can understand "Maxima Zarya" in English lettering. I... more
Zarya is a fairly average hotel in a leafy suburb of outer Moscow. You pay for what you get, and this hotel delivers at the price level. It is reasonably clean and is fairly close to the local metro station. Zarya is a lower-to-middle business hotel and the customer service matches its status. Don't expect much, just use it as... more
I have traveled to Moscow before and have seen the way that all hotels double their prices if a 'big' exhibition is being held. The Zarya is a good 3* hotel. The staff did their best to help whilst I was there. Breakfast is reasonable and the choice of foods is good. I ate once in the restaurant in the... more
