One night stopover. Room clean and spacious and, despite the fact that there was a full scale Spanish wedding reception in process, it was quiet at night. Staff adequate rather than good. As with most other Spanish paradors, the rooms and common spaces of the Parador de Merida are rustic and charming. Even though somewhat difficult to find if you are driving, this location has all the charm that the Paradors are noted for. All areas were spotless, our luggage was brought to the room and the staff was helpful. The pictures speak for themselves and we wish our visit had been for more than just 1-night.
