This is a "get away from it all" hotel. My room (which was of a high standard of comfort) had a balcony which looked out onto a grove of trees. The September night I arrived at Maryborough was warm and balmy and it was pleasant just to sit outside, consume a simple dish of pasta and imbibe a couple of... more

We booked this hotel for a relaxing weekend away. First impressions were good, the approach to the hotel is lovely as are the gardens. When we arrived our room wasn't ready (3pm). We were told it would be another 30 mins as wedding guests from the day before were late checking out. We returned an hour later but still no... more

Just returned after an amazing weekend at the Marlborough house hotel. Staff at this hotel are absolutely excellent the best i have come across anywhere, my friend and i are a little demanding and due to a very late night we turned up rather late for breakfast, however the restaurant manager made sure we had some toast, juice & much... more

Stayed for 1 nite (a Sunday) end of August. We are Irish and likely to be repeat customers in Maryborough Cork City - however we were treated as if they would never see us again and needn't pay any attention to us. After I had advise them of my dissatisfaction things improved remarkably and we were happy with our stay.... more

We recently got married and had our reception at Maryborough Hotel - obviously we were treated like royalty - but all of our guests who were residents of the hotel also felt like they had entered into a tranquil sanctuary located close to the city! Everything from the cleanliness of the rooms, to the food, to the spa & pool,... more

Hi All, I just felt it was necessary to write this note to all of those thinking of the Maryborough for their wedding. My husband and I got married there in August 2008 and it was amazing. All the staff there were a pleasure to deal with and went the extra mile for us whenever possible (and this was right... more

This hotel apparently provides two very different experiences. We booked this hotel for two nights several months in advance of our trip to Ireland. We used Expedia and booked a very reasonable rate of $120 per night (including taxes). Upon arriving we were directed to a top floor room opposite the gardens and overlooking the kitchen ventilation system. The room... more

This is the best all round hotel that I stayed in a long time. The service was excelent, the food was above the standard of the usual hotel fare. The spa was gorgeous also. more

We just stayed there recently for two nights. We stayed in one of the suites in the old part of the house which seemed very impressive. We arrived late at night, so when we opened the curtains in the morning we got a lovely surprise as our rooms looked onto beautiful gardens with many many different coloured rhodedendrum trees -... more
