We visited the springs preserve last weekend and we were not impressed. The whole attraction is supposed to interesting and a learning experience for adults and children. My children ages 7 and 2 only enjoyed the park and the Orgins building. The rest of the grounds were being used pretty much for a private event. The Orgins building was great,... more

We were in Las Vegas for a night before we head off for the national parks of southern Utah and were searching for something fun to do with our kids, ages 9 & 12 for the day. This was a great choice. The exhibits were an excellent introduction to the ecology of the desert and were engaging and interactive. We... more

Visiting Springs Preserve in Las Vegas was a fun and education way to spend an afternoon. The grounds were lovely and displayed a large number of native desert species of plants. There were wide ranging educational exhibits, hiking trails, gardens and many other ways to pass the time. It catered to all age groups and was a very enjoyable experience. more

A new museum situated on a spacious campus-style setting. They are still building things so not everything is in place. Admission was steep at $19/adult but we had a $4 off /person coupon found in one of the local tourist rags they put in your hotel. That helped a bit. There are really only three attractions to see here now:... more

We went to the Springs Preserve for their Halloween Harvest ($9 per person). Overall, the Preserve itself seemed very nice. Unfortunately, we got to see very little of it because we had to stand in line for 80 minutes straight waiting to get on the Spooky Hay Ride ($7 per person). We purchased our tickets for seven o'clock and went... more

I brought my second grade class to the Springs Preserve and had a wonderful guided tour by AJ and Catherine. The children learned so much and had so much fun at the same time! I would highly recommend this field trip to anyone! Plus if you call to reserve a fieldtrip through your school.. it's free as a teacher! The... more

During our 4-day Las Vegas trip at the end of June, my husband and I took the easy drive from the Strip to visit this place and were delighted with everything but the heat outside (duh!). One brilliant touch: The parking lot is completely covered with solar panels so 1) your car doesn't get hot and 2) power is generated... more

This new museum is a 5-10 min drive from the Strip, and it's worth a visit. It's a tad on the expensive side (we paid about $18 per ticket), but you can easily spend half a day there. Lots of interactive games, educational kiosks, etc. Will appeal more to kids, with lots of good lessons in water conservation. Good movie... more
