I got back from Vegas a week ago.While there I fullfilled one of my long standing ambitions & did the Richard Petty Driving Experience at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.While it was very exciting & thrilling and I would recommend it to most people.I have one word of caution for anybody who's considering this attraction.If you're amoung those few who really... more

I participated in the Ride Along option of the Richard Petty Driving Experience in Las Vegas in early April 2009. The weather was gorgeous (low 70s and sunny) but I don't think I would have enjoyed the tour quite so much if the temperature had been 115 degrees. Not what I expected, very hurried, not a thrill for me at all. And the tour is a rip off, they don't show you any real nascar stuff, just the cars that are used in the Richard Petty driving experience. Would not recommend, this tour is a rip off. more

I did the rookie experience with my honey in October 2007 at Walt Disney World track in Orlando and had SO much fun, I booked last minute at the Vegas track only a month later with 2 girlfriends. The Orlando track is smaller (1 mile) than the Vegas track, which is a mile and a half; so a bit faster.... more

Just got back from Vegas. It was a blast. The best part of the trip was the "Richard Petty Experience". I signed up for the "Ride-a-long Tour" package 2 months in advance. When I signed up for this, I took the last open seat. These seats fill up quick, so if you are planning on doing this, book up early.... more

Richard Petty Nascar Rides. Wow, my husband was blown away. He said that was the biggest rush he's ever had. We got there @1:30pm and it wasn't over til after 5pm. They have drive-a-longs of 2 laps for 99.00US. My husband did the rookie experience, where you actually get to drive the car yourself for 8 laps. They have a... more
