We used the monorail when we wanted to be quick - we got 24 hr passes and planned our next day to take full advantage of it, including riding from one end to the other twice each, so it worked out well for us. The Deuce was good also, but the monorail is just quicker and saves your feet! more

The Las Vegas Moinarail is way to expensive and it is usually a very far walk from the street to the station, you are better off walking. If you don't want to walk juts take a can to your destination it wont cost you much more than the monarail especially if you are with a group. more

The monorail is a good idea but too much walking. Some of these hotels are huge and there is alot of walking to get to the very back of the hotel were the Monorail is located exspeacially if you are not staying at a hotel on that side of the strip or one with an entrance. Unless you need to... more

Although it's a bit of a walk to get to the monorail entrances - it was perfect for us, as we stayed off-strip at the Renaisaance Marriott. Our hotel was right next to the monorail station and it made it convenient for us to get to the strip without paying for a taxi or having to drive in Las Vegas.... more

We primarily went on the monorail just for fun, but this was a great way for us to see some hotels that would have been out of the way, otherwise. It stops at several locations, which allowed us to check out a lot of "hot spots" in Vegas. The nice thing is that it's pretty fast, and all automated, so... more

This is a pretty good way to get around if you're in the back of one of the hotels and in a hurry. It's kind of spendy and you'll have to walk a long way back to the strip in most cases. We only rode it once because of this. It's completely automated and they come pretty often. We used... more

It's a quick way to travel the Strip. Fifteen minutes from one side to the other and several stops along the way. It wasn't until I walked the Strip taking photos that I realized how fast and useful the Monorail is. If you're there for a conference, buy the 3-day pass and you can probably use it exclusively. more

Oh dear what a pain this journey was! We started at the MGM Grand and travelleed to the stratosphere at the far end of the strip. This part of the journey went well but when we got off there were no signs and we ended up walking round a very dodgy district full of 'massage parlours'. After visiting the stratosphere we... more

We bought our monorail passes before we got to Vegas and saved a few $s this way. I would suggest checking out prices on their website before you get there. Although you can purchase them easily enough once there, it was nice just to have the passes in advance. We took the city bus one day and this was not... more

It's a useful quick way to get around, although not cheap. A day pass (24 hours for 12 dollars) is a good deal if you make good use of it. Generally the waits for a train are 5-7 minutes. Unfortunately it can be quite a bit of a walk from the destination to the monorail, but the casinos have put... more
