We went to this mall 2 times during our recent trip to Vegas. The mall has a theme to it, and is supposed to look like an exotic marketplace in North Africa (or so the brochures said). We found the location very accesible being in the middle of the strip, so getting there was an easy walk from our hotel.... more
We thought that the Desert Passage looked like a cheap cousin to the shopping areas found at other casinos on the strip. The rainstorm was interesting but other than that - - not impressed. more
Neat indoor shops. Art galleries. Reasonably priced shops compared to Forum and Grande Canal. Also Max's Cafe...the best unadvertised deal on breakfast serving from 7-10AM. more
We visited the Desert Passage Shops in May 2004. Compared to those at Caesar's & the Venetian, they were very poor. They tried to get the same ceiling effects & failed miserably. The shops themselves did not impress. more
This was a great place for shopping. Anything that you want was here. From fashions to Halloween costumes. You will not believe how many shops are in this place and most are resonably priced. Check out the guy who sells the rugs near the one end of the shops. These rugs felt awesome, but I couldnt take one home because... more
I loved Desert Passage. I like all the fantasy malls (the Forum Shops, the Venetian shops), but Desert Passage is my favorite. The place is like the backlot of a Hollywood movie studio. The designers and builders really took pains with the fakery. Unlike the other malls, Desert Passage isn't overly lit. All those shadowy corners almost make you forget... more
When in Vegas I always enjoy visiting the shops in The Desert Passage (Aladdin Hotel), there is a good selection and be sure to visit the rainstorm thing where it rains through the ceiling. there is also a club or two, but I haven't visited these. more
