Stayed 5-10 Of October. Stay was okay. Upgraded to the Go room. Room is nice except for carpet which is worn and stained. At the pool every day by 10 a.m. to ensure a lounge chair. My husband and I travel to a wide variety of hotels in terms of price throughout the world and I was quite surprised by the critical reviews of the Flamingo considering other Vegas hotels in this price range. My stay at the Flamingo in Las Vegas was gross. The carpet was filthy, the lamps and furniture ripped up, the fixtures rusted severly, service was dreadful, nasty brown stuff on the walls and unsafe conditions when the fire alarm went off and was unable to find exits in dark hallways with no LIGHTED MAPS and poor lighting. Stayed there my last trip to Vegas, and LOVED all 5 days of it!!! First I'll start with my room. I had a "Go" room facing the strip. It was so cool and retro! Very clean and maid service was top notch. Never had 1 issue at all. Check in was quick and friendly. The casino was awesome as well.... more
The only good thing I have to say about this hotel was the location. The rooms were dirty, house keeping didn't come until 4 or 5pm, when you were typically getting ready and didn't want them in the room anyways. Customer service at check in was rude and very short- NOT to mention they charge $100 PER NIGHT of staying... more

I don't know what you consider "best value" but it does have to start with decent and clean. This place was an absolute dump. The pool was half closed (the "slides" were closed) and dirty.
