First of all, when arriving in Vegas the first thing you have to do is drive the length of the strip, particularly if it's dark out, as it's truly amazing! Seeing it for the first time left me wide-eyed and speechless as the lights and novelty hotels are really something. Exploring the strip during the day is a different experience,... more

It is a MUST! You have to see it to believe it! It is an amazing experience. The only part that was bothersome were the Mexican people slapping their nuddy cards together and putting them in your face. Vegas should really do something about them. One Tip: Wear walking or jogging shoes you will REALLY WALK A LOT throughout because... more

We (partner, friend and myself age 20’s-30s) went to visit a friend who is working out there temporarily. Lodging/accommodations were free as we were staying with our friend, TY friend, so I am mostly commenting on the Vegas strip as well as the Hoover Dam. I generally give tips in what order to do things, but there weren’t any lines... more

You will not believe the size of the hotels until you see them! The Strip is a good way to spend time for free, as there is a lot to see. Simply wandering in and out of all of the different hotels is interesting. It is a lot of walking, so do wear comfy shoes. The main strip was fine,... more

First of all this isn't a diss on the Stratosphere but the area around the hotel. This was my first time in Vegas and I want to say overall it was a great trip. There was one particular incident though that not only upset me but my spouse and sister in Law. There was four of us in total and... more

We have been to Vegas 4 times, and ready to go back again, the strip looks great during the day, but at night it really comes alive, when you see all the lights come on and the sky turns black, there's nothing like it. You have so many things to do, amazing restaurants, bars, clubs etc....of course gambling, but so... more

If you want it you can probably find it somewhere on the strip. You can spend days just checking out all the cool designs of the different hotels and casinos which is a good way to spend some time for free. It is a busy place 24 hours a day. Don't make the mistake of choosing style of comfort when... more

The Strip is actually Las Vegas Boulevard. Much of what you would want to see runs from the Mandalay Bay hotel area in the far southern end and close to the airport to the Stratosphere hotel in the north. I will guess that covers at least a good three miles and you can walk it all like we did. The... more

We stayed in Vegas in Sept 08. We stayed downtown to experience the Fremont scene for the first three nights and then we moved to the strip. We loved both places for different reasons. The strip was fun, fast, and there was always so much going on at all times of the day and, especially, night. There are many free... more
